I have the camera my great grandfather used for
taking the family pictures. The back of the case is
dated 1899. I also have the glass negatives of the
pictures.

I was in Maine in the late 70's and bought several glass lantern
slides in an antique store. This picture was taken in Amsterdam.
From the style of clothes I would guess it was taken in the 1860's.
